Rep. Ed Perlmutter cannot stop using the horrifying events of Aurora to further his own agenda.  The first time was shocking.  The second time…well, Revealing Politics was there to catch it all.  You decide.

On a teletownhall on Monday night, Perlmutter told the 150 or 3,400 (depending on who you believe) people in attendance via conference call or Facebook:

"The health care overhaul law, deemed 'Obamacare,' by conservatives will stop the discrimination against people with prior illnesses or injuries — or, say, some of the folks who were shot in the theater… They would be uninsurable now that they’ve had that wound, but under the Affordable Care Act they can’t be discriminated against starting in 2014."

Seriously? Will somebody please tell this guy to stop using this horrible event to push his political agenda?

For those of you who missed the first time, Perlmutter tried to push his assault weapons ban a mere 48 hours after the vicious attack:

"On Sunday, Perlmutter went on CBS's Face The Nation and called for more gun control, such as the assault weapons ban, saying that Congress should take the lead, not the President."

Even Governor Hickenlooper came out against Perlmutter. On July 23, Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper told Fox-TV31 in Denver that discussion of gun laws could come later.

“I think the discussions of ‘do we need stricter laws’ should probably wait until the families have grieved,” Hickenlooper said, “and at least until we bury the people who we lost.”

We said it before, and we will say it again, "Politicizing this is not okay. It is not the time for political agendas. Shame on you, Ed Perlmutter."

Please don't make us say this a third time?
