Hookers and drugs, two themes not normally associated with Congressional fundraising (at least not publicly). Not so in the case of Colorado Congressional challenger Joe Miklosi, who not only has among the worst fundraising efforts in the country, but also one of the most scandal-plagued.

Today, Miklosi's campaign announced retiring Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank — who had a hooker ring running out of his Washington, DC apartment earlier in his Congressional career — would raise $100,000 in "urgent resources."

From Bwaney Fwank's fundraising email:

Since their substantive record is indefensible, they have gone on the attack, and Democratic candidates face a barrage of twisted, demagogic attacks.

I have set a goal to help Joe Miklosi raise $100,000 in urgent resources before Joe's end of month budget deadline. [Peak emphasis]

Contribute now to help Joe Miklosi before the end of the month deadline.

We have to fight back against the Tea Partiers and their wealthy backers, which is why I volunteered to help Joe Miklosi, who is one of their targets, and because of Joe's commitment to the values we believe in, which have never been so seriously challenged as they are this year.

First it was a Miklosi staffer who happened to be an ex-con with an arrest record a mile long with serious drug charges, now it's a politician tied to a prostitution ring?

What's next? Is a crystal meth manufacturer going to host an event? Don't the Hells Angels owe Miklosi a favor?
