Today, six pieces of Democratic-sponsored gun control legislation will make their way through two Colorado State Senate committees – Senate Judiciary and Senate State, Veterans, and Military Affairs. And, Coloradans are already lined up to defend their 2nd Amendment rights (see photo to the right).
Committees will begin at 10:30 a.m. Judiciary will meet in the Old Supreme Court Chambers on the second floor and State Affairs will meet in Senate Committee Room 356 on the third floor of the Capitol.
Once passed, these pieces of legislation will be extremely difficult to claw back. It’s critically important that you Peak Nation™ come out to show your support for our country’s Second Amendment. Here are a few ways to do so:
1) Show your support at today’s rally. The directions from Michael Brown’s web site, can be found here.
2) Sign this petition.
3) Contact the members of the two committees to tell them what you think about these six bills. Find their contact information here: http://coloradosenatenews.com/?q=content/stand-2nd-amendment
4) Consider testifying at the hearings for these six bills. If you’re interested in testifying and have a compelling story to share, please contact Alexandra Bolch, 303-866-4866, [email protected]
We hope to see you there.
Voting Democratic didn't stop the Aurora shooting now did it?
Arm the schools and stop advertising that it is a gun free zone. That is a sign to invite every crazy out there to come in with a gun and no one there can stop you! The thinking of taking guns away from the general public, law abiding citizens is insanity.
Yes, and I'm voting for Democrats and Green candidates. What are you doing to prevent another Newtown?
