The Douglas County Federation (DCF) has its hands full trying to unseat the current reform-minded school board in this November’s election, but it appears the teachers’ union has freed up some staff and a sizable chunk of change to put towards defending Senators John Morse and Angela Giron from historic recall efforts.

The American Federation of Teachers (AFT) – DCF’s national organization – has donated $25,000 to one of the groups backing Morse and Giron. That’s money not going into teacher training.

One of the DCF’s endorsed candidates – Ronda Scholting – has also been a Giron donor in the past.

And they even appear to have freed up staff to spend some time running the recall defense campaign of Angela Giron. The AFT Colorado Executive Director who left in June is running Angela Giron’s recall defense campaign

Despite the union-backed school board candidates in Douglas County trying to claim they are non-partisan, it’s clear they’re part and parcel of the very Obama-machine that’s trying to beg, borrow and steal their way to recall victories.

We just wouldn’t suggest the union and their candidates tell residents of Douglas County about it. We can assure you, gun control is even less popular in Douglas County than it is statewide.
