Congratulations to Mark Baisley, who was elected vice chairman of the Colorado Republican Party this past weekend at the CO GOP’s state central committee meeting.

Mark Baisley has over 32 years of information systems experience in aerospace, defense, education, and financial services environments.  He currently serves as the CEO of Slipglass, a company that provides the security component to the development of government and business information systems.

Baisley has been involved in the Douglas County community for decades.  He is the co-founder of the Colorado Nanotechnology Initiative and Chairman of the Colorado Space Business Roundtable.  Baisley has been a huge contributor to the Republican Party in Colorado, serving as the Colorado State Republican Party Finance Chairman and the Chairman of Colorado State Senate District 30, among other positions.  He was appointed to two state service committees by Governor Bill Owens. He has served as the chairman of the local district of th Boy Scouts of America Finance Committee.  He’s served on the Board of Directors for Aurora Community College and Board of Trustees at his alma mater Columbia College.  Quite frankly, Baisley has served on more committees and boards than we have room to list.  Let’s just say he’s really involved.

Baisley holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Columbia College, with majors in Computer Information Systems and Business Administration.  Baisley has been married to his high school sweetheart and wife, MaryAnn, for nearly 30 years.  They have three children and one grandchild.

Baisley was elected to replace Don Ytterberg, who plans to mount the Republican challenge to Democratic U.S. Representative Ed Perlmutter, representing Colorado’s Seventh Congressional District.
