Walter Issacson, president and CEO of the non-partisan Aspen Institute, an educational and policy organization based in D.C., dropped Gov. John Hickenlooper’s name on Morning Joe today as a potential 2016 presidential contender.

We tried not to laugh, especially since the Democrats already have a candidate who can’t keep his foot out of his mouth in VP Joe Biden. And, let’s not forget that Hick’s own chief lobbyist once described watching him at a microphone as “kind of like watching a baby cross the highway. You just never know if he’s going to make it.”

Issacson did throw out some nice platitudes – stuff like “he represents Main St. not Wall St.,” but he forgot to mention that presidential candidates need to have message discipline, and that’s not really Hick’s strength.
