When we read the headline that John Yob, a strategist for Republican Presidential candidate Rand Paul accused Coloradan and Marco Rubio deputy campaign manager Rich Beeson of punching him in the face at a Republican Leadership Conference, we expected to see a legit punch to the face.  Instead, upon reviewing the video, what we saw was little more than a shove to the face that one would do to an annoying sibling. See for yourself:

Maybe that’s how they punch people in Michigan, but not in Colorado.  But, that did not stop Yob from taking his case to Facebook where he wrote the following, according to Politico:

“…He literally physically assaulted me by punching me in the face.  The state police are looking for him. I have it on video, from multiple angles. This will play out in the national media in the next few hours.”

We hate to be the grown up in the room here, as it’s really not our job, and we don’t condone this kind of behavior, but let’s stop blowing it out of proportion.  Further, the incident happened in Michigan, which houses Detroit. The state police’s time would be better spent helping the people of Detroit.

But, let’s be real about what this is – Rand Paul’s campaign staff trying something (anything!) to recapture a headline or two.
