There were a few Trump appearances in alternates. While it seems that many unbound candidates may support Cruz, Kasich chairwoman Amy Stephens explained the Kasich point of view. From her quote to the Denver Post:
“There are so many unpledged people feeling the heavy hand of Cruz and … they’ve got the guns to their head, ‘You will do this.’ So we said this: ‘We support an open convention, it’s going to happen.’ And so we all might as well get used to this.”
Either way, Cruz fans must be celebrating their wins tonight, and likely are looking forward to a big day tomorrow.
Dear Kendal Unruh
I supported Ted Cruz. He wasn't popular enough to gain the nomination. Donald Trump won. If you oppose Trump because he's not conservative enough, how conservative do you think Hillary is? Attack Trump and the country will find out.
