Bennet Aspen ChallengeA new Harpers Poll out today shows that embattled Democratic U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet is in an unenviable position in which just 38% of Coloradans polled believing he deserves to be re-elected. Another 38% said to give someone else a new chance.

Even worse, Republican U.S. Senate candidate (and unknown) Darryl Glenn is trailing the incumbent by a measly six points (40% – 46%) in a survey with a margin of error of 4.68% – and, that’s before even beginning to campaign.

And the worst news of all for Sen. Bennet? Those coveted independents believe it’s time to give a new person a change by a margin of 36 to 28 percent.

We have been saying for months that Bennet is in trouble, and this poll just underscores it. Who cares if he has $6 million to blow? Amendment 66 spent $12 million and Colorado simply said no. Colorado might just say no to Bennet, too.
