Environmentalists claim to be doing a good deed by plopping down nearly $1 million to buy a private inholding in the Rocky Mountain National Park and tearing down the existing house to turn the area back into wilderness.

Then they plan to “turn it over to the park.”

And by turn it over, we’re guessing they mean sell the 12.5 acre plot.

With a little extra money on top, just to recoup all of their costs, and stuff. And the taxpayers will foot the bill.

At least that’s what we’ll be keeping an eye out for in future reports.

It’s just what the federal government needs to pay for, the cost and management of more public lands to add to their inholding of 640 million acres.

Bah, humbug.
