The inspector’s general mind-blowing recommendation we reported on earlier this week that Connect for Health Colorado should be forced to repay $9.7 million because the money was misspent is Exhibit A for the system’s overhaul for U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner.

“Colorado’s Obamacare exchange treated taxpayer dollars like monopoly money and now the American people are on the hook for its federal loan. Another example of an Obamacare failure, the Colorado exchange sheds light on a broken system built on lofty promises that was unsustainable and mismanaged from its inception.”

Meanwhile, exchange spokesman Luke Clarke tells the Denver Post it’s not their fault because they didn’t know what they were doing.

“We were a brand new organization doing something that no one had done before,” he said.

They also insist they should not have to pay some of the money back, because when another audit identified some problems, they corrected the problem by playing a shell game and moved more money around.

No wonder our health care prices are skyrocketing, if this is how Obamacare is operated.
