released its annual awards for campaigns this week and two of Colorado’s political firms received accolades. Clear Creek Strategies, which managed 527 Colorado Citizens for Accountable Government, received “Best Mail Piece For Independent Expenditure Campaign – State Legislative” for its Zenzinger Fortune Cookie mail piece.

This piece drove liberals insane because it was so clever. Households that received the piece opened a package to find a fortune cookie, reminiscent of now-Sen. Rachel Zenzinger’s vote to force taxpayers to pay for her trip to China. While Zenzinger ultimately won, the exploding heads in the Democratic Party over this piece felt pretty victorious.

EIS Solutions also received honors for “Best Logo & Branding for Statewide Campaign” for its “Raise the Bar” campaign which raised the threshold for putting state ballot initiatives on the ballot and for passing them.

The rest of the list can be found here.

Then, Owen Loftus was named to American Association of Political Consultants 40 Under 40 list. Loftus has served as the communications director the State Party and now runs his own shop. See who else earned the honor.

Congratulations to all!
