Hick in the Crosshairs

Posted on January 17, 2011 by ColoradoPeakPolitics

So what'll it be Hick?

Even the Denver Post has called on Gov. Hickenlooper to dump former Governor Ritter's executive order authorizing collective bargaining for state employees.

We hate to interrupt your honeymoon Governor, but we deserve an answer.  What'll it be?  More unions or more jobs?

Everyone claims to be “pro-business” during the election, but then they go right back to supporting the special interests. Hick will be no different.

There have been nothing but puff-pieces in the Post since he was officially elected.  It wouldn’t surprise me if the ed board coordinated with Hick’s comms staff before printing the editorial.

Ritter had a hard time balancing unions and business–he regularly irritated both sides. Hickenlooper’s probably going to have the same problem.  I hope Hickelooper does the right thing for Coloradans, and chooses to support business over unions, but I’m not going to hold my breath.

I totally agree with you here. There’s yet another positive editorial from the Post today. It’s like he can do nothing wrong in the eyes of the editorial board.
