irrelevance if you stake out crazy and confrontational positions. It’s not about having a 9 to 5 in politics, it’s about any role of consequence in your local party or beyond. Whether as an activist, officer or something else. Pissing people off is not a good strategy–no matter how wrong you may think that is.

sorry the Peak forgot how much you hate the “establishment”, we all know your long (not too well thought out plan) of keeping Republicans in the MINORITY for years and years to come.

I’m in it to save America. Perhaps that is the problem with the party in the first place.

wouldn’t or won’t be a great leader in some capacity, where ever that takes you. Believe me, I see great value in having young folks enter politics. However the thing you must realize is that I have seen hundreds of young people enter politics through the years. Some succeed wonderfully, others end up changing careers or leaving politics.

Sometimes the reason they leave is because they can’t cut it for whatever reason. However, more often than not, it’s because they piss off their fair share of people. They either personally are abrasive or politically are abrasive. They walk into a room and think they know more about the process than anyone there, they disrepect folks, and they believe they are entitled to the world. Never have I seen someone oustered for being too idealistic or conservative. That said, just like everything else in life, you will never get exactly what you want, when you want it.
