It was in fact Tim Fenwick (founder of “A Tea Party of One”) who insisted on Benita Phillips having an opportunity to speak over the objection of the American’s for Prosperity local coordinator Kelly Sloan who was a previous member of the self appointed Western Slope Conservative Alliance board.  

Conspicuous by its absence was GJResult/Tea Party who organized and sponsored the first and largest TEA Party event on the western slope (with over 3,000 in attendance) and withdrew their membership from the WSCA umbrella group as a result of WSCAs adoption of bylaws that prohibit the participation of its rank and file members in WSCA board elections.  And in the interest of full disclosure it must be mentioned that Reagan girl (Marjorie Haun) is also a current member of the WSCA board.

To the casual observer, this event appeared more rooted in symbolism rather than substance and the net effect was to unite highly placed members of the Democratic Party with the Occupy Wall street movement, and provide the pro -Obama care counter protest faction a media forum.  Well done WSCA and American’s for Prosperity.  Just what we were going to ask for; a public display of weakness and that your groups are “liberal” user friendly.
