Don't make the mistake of generalizing gun owners into one narrow category. There's a word for that sort of behavior, and it makes for poor judgement. Libertarians are all for equality, including the right of self defense, even for gays and lesbians.

And you don't want guns in America…why? Because crazy people use them to kill innocent people? Do you want drugs in America? Whether they're illegal or not, they're here to stay because they'll just find their way in just like drugs will. The 1927 Bath Michigan massacre was a bombing, which is exactly what would start happening if you magically got rid of all the guns in America, a proven impossibility.

Personally, I want to have realistic public debates about causes and solutions to violence, but we obviously don't always get what we want.

Many Democrats and Liberals are against these laws too.
Guns are a part of our Heritage and who we are as a Free people.
They are a Right not a privilege to be bargained away by Politicians for there own personal gain or the hysteria following a tragedy.

You bet Beth. I am sorry to say that Hudak is my rep, and I can't wait to start helping with collecting recall signatures to get her out of there. She only won by 584 votes and only because a 3rd party candidate got almost 6% of the total votes. When I heard Amanda Collins on Peter Boyles this morning I was heart broken that she was treated this way. She is a strong lady and I admire her willingness to put herself into the spotlight and relive her horrific ordeal. Hudak should be ashamed of herself.

All Colorado lawmakers need to pay attention to this. Hudak had the gall to say she knew what was better for Amanda Collins than Amanda did. Any vote for anti gun laws aka people control will ensure they will not be re elected. They have gone to far!
