@ Lynn Beamish – to answer your question, his security detail are highly trained & have had thorough background checks before they can hold those positions. Any peace officer who fails to follow the laws they have sworn to protect, are derelict in performing said duties & should be fired.Quit if you ccan't uphold the laws you took an oath to enforce. You aren't always going to agree with the laws, but you don't get to pick & choose which ones you want to enforce. Background checks don't infringe upon anyone. Do you want felons & the mentally I'll to have access? Not me! Background checks are used for credit, employment, & security clearances to ensure certain minimum standards are met to obtain them.

Good point Lynne and I support these Sheriffs as well. The thing to remember is that when someone asks you why you NEED a gun(s)…just tell them it is not the Bill of Needs…it is the Bill of RIGHTS.
