Oil production is way up on private lands, holding steady on state lands due almost entirely to shale drilling, and fairly devastated on federal lands due to Obama's lease policies. New BLM regulations since 2010 are costing developers a lot more, and while they still do business here you can see why they would pick other, less regulated states. The face of Colorado is changing, and liberal ideology has contributed to that, and not all for the good of the state's finances.

PS: CO ranked 7th out of 50 states in the survey, otherwise known as the top quintile. https://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_23635649/cnbc-ranks-colorado-7th-annual-survey-top-states And after those Dems and their Democrat ways session…CO's standing IMPROVED "Colorado climbed from eighth in the ranking last year [to 7th this year]." And how did this 'survey' get done? Oh, it was made up with 'input' from lobby groups: "We scored all 50 states on 51 measures of competitiveness developed with input from business groups including the National Association of Manufacturers and the Council on Competitiveness." https://www.cnbc.com/id/100824779.

Oil and gas development, currently at its all time record in Colorado–despite the moaning and wailing this and other wingnut sites engaged in during earlier (i.e. the Ritter) rule-makings–is set to increase more as the Free Market fluctuates and NatGas prices rise. There are lots and lots of business and industry publications that bear this out, but you–obviously–have little concern for facts, merely beating your partisan (dead) horse. You will continue, is my prediction, reaching only those that already agree with you, while driving more an more from the middle away. So thanks for that.
