President Biden is pretending to take action against his own open border policy and unchecked asylum he’s let run rampant for nearly four years because he’s getting trounced by Donald Trump in the polls.
With just a few months before Election Day, Biden announced he will eventually issue a presidential proclamation to limit the number of unchecked asylums claims, but only when that number threatens to hit one million annually.
In other words, unchecked asylum continues so long as the line of migrants surrendering to border patrol doesn’t get too long.
An estimated 10 million have entered the U.S. under Biden’s open border policies unchecked or unverified.
Of those, about two million are waiting to have their asylum claims processed.
In announcing his plan this week in a desperate measure to save his reelection campaign, Biden weaponized the border disaster as a political issue and proclaimed: “The border is not a political issue to be weaponized.”
But wait, there’s more.
While criticizing Republicans who say those in the country should be deported, Biden administration officials told the AP they would deport more people, if only Congress would give them more money to do so.
From the report:
Four senior administration officials who insisted on anonymity to describe the effort to reporters, acknowledged that the administration’s goal of deporting migrants quickly is complicated by insufficient funding from Congress to do so.
Hypocrites, the lot of them.
It will be interesting to see what political fix Biden eventually puts into play at the border.
His progressive base calls Biden’s plan inhumane and dangerous, while Democrat politicians like Gov. Polis spin the limit of unchecked asylum claims to just under one million annually as a crackdown.
“President Biden is stepping up to meaningfully address immigration challenges and improve border security while Congressional Republicans sit idly by and continue playing politics that Americans are tired of. I applaud President Biden’s leadership and urge Congress to join President Biden in putting people over politics to secure our border and reform our broken immigration system,” said Governor Polis.
Democrats’ idea of reforming immigration is spending billions more in tax dollars to support the open border policies with more bureaucrats to process questionable asylum claims.
Plus, billions more to house, feed, educate, transport and cover the health care needs of every person who enters the U.S. both legally and through Biden’s policies and illegally.
Then there are Democrats like U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet bogusly pretending they’ve been against Biden’s border busting policies all along.
I’ve long urged President Biden and my colleagues in Congress to address the chaos at our Southern border.
Our failure to fix our broken system hurts our economy and our democracy. We need a functional immigration system, so that America can work. pic.twitter.com/VzmTyZTOhj

Biden broke the border wide open with his policies of anarchy. We don’t need Congress to spend more money. We need a new president to change those policies and return order to the southern border.
KOA is running an online poll asking whether Biden’s plan would limit the number of migrants flowing into Colorado. Last time we checked, 79% said no.
POLL: Today, President Biden is expected to take executive action to limit asylum seekers when there’s a surge in border crossings. Do you think this will limit the number of migrants coming into Denver?
