U.S. Sen. John Hickenlooper spent the congressional work period last week bar hopping through Front Range restaurants and reminiscing about that time he voted months ago to spend taxpayer dollars to cover for Gov. Polis’s business shutdowns.
It’s a nice job if you can get it.
Dropping in on restaurants and bars to drink beer and take credit for their hard work to stay in business, then expense it all to taxpayers.
Restaurants and bars were hit extra hard during the Polis shutdown, but other businesses across the state were also economically damaged.
They just don’t serve beer, and Hickenlooper has clearly set his priorities for how he will spend his work periods back home in Colorado.
Was so glad to visit Scrumpy’s Hard Cider Bar with @SBAIsabel this past week to highlight how the Restaurant Revitalization Fund has kept businesses like theirs afloat.https://t.co/9e3Pt5ZdrK

Una cerveza por favor!
Stopped by Jabanero’s Mexican Grill in Aurora today to hear how the owner Raul was able to use their Restaurant Revitalization and Paycheck Protection dollars to keep their doors open through the pandemic. pic.twitter.com/RgjkcfDx07

Una cerveza más!
Funding from the Restaurant Revitalization Fund has made sure that family-owned restaurants like El Pueblito in Greeley could keep their doors open during the pandemic! Glad @SBAIsabel and I could visit today. pic.twitter.com/AM4Q3e9ezy
