Gov. Polis claimed the moral high ground in decrying President Biden for putting family over country and pardoning his son for tax and gun charges along with every other crime Hunter could have possibly committed since 2014.
While as a father I certainly understand President @JoeBiden’s natural desire to help his son by pardoning him, I am disappointed that he put his family ahead of the country. This is a bad precedent that could be abused by later Presidents and will sadly tarnish his reputation.…

There’s a lot here to unpack, most prominently is Polis’s naivete that Biden offered a pardon not seen since President Nixon just to protect his son from those two charges.
The blanket pardon also ensures Hunter can never be prosecuted for influence peddling for daddy, or for his business dealings as a board member to that Ukrainian gas company and other foreign companies that could also implicate President Biden’s brother.

Of course the old man pardoned his son. What father wouldn’t?
And not just because Hunter has struggled with drug issues and might turn on his father and take everyone in the family who profited to jail with him if he were to be prosecuted for other crimes he committed during that decade.
So Polis would be right about that, if only that’s what he meant; Biden should not have sought to protect his family and himself from implication in crimes alleged during Biden’s service as vice president to Obama and afterwards.
But of course that’s not what Polis meant.
Democrat State Rep. David Ortiz thinks Polis lacks the moral high ground to criticize Biden because he hasn’t suffered the exact same life losses as Biden.
You don’t understand as a father because NONE of your kids got Glioblastoma because of their military service & died.
You didn’t lose your spouse & young daughter in a car crash with only two surviving sons.
You don’t have the moral high ground here, pandering wealthy jerk. https://t.co/RRKiMWev1m

While Polis is most certainly a pandering wealthy jerk, no president is above criticism for using his power to pardon criminals. Just ask Trump.
So why did Polis break off the Thanksgiving holiday early with his family to criticize Biden for putting his family before his job as president?
Because Polis has been on a perennial stealth run for president for as long as recent memory serves and is obviously gearing up again for 2028.
The media hit for this stunt was significant.
So much so, that U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet finally caught on today and is following Polis’s PR lead.
President Biden’s decision put personal interest ahead of duty and further erodes Americans’ faith that the justice system is fair and equal for all. https://t.co/xEuRjfNhZ0

PeakNation™ will recall that Bennet ran a failed presidential campaign against Biden in 2020. Looks like he’s kicking off 2028 early as well.
