Colorado’s loss is POLITICO’s gain as one of the state’s leading political reporters, Eli Stokols, says goodbye to his job at KDVR and heads to one of DC’s leading publications.

Eli Stokols [is] a highly regarded political reporter in Colorado … five-night-a-week anchor on KDVR in Denver … hosts his own Sunday morning politics show and a politics blog … has written for Politico Mag … A winner of multiple local Emmys, Eli is a graduate of Columbia Journalism School and a former college baseball player at Berkeley.”
We have given Stokols a hard time over the years for his often left-leaning bias, but the truth is, every time the capitol press corps shrinks we all suffer. At least we still have Lynn Bartels and Ed Sealover.
