State Treasurer Walker Stapleton nailed a major endorsement this week in his Republican campaign for governor with the backing of the Associated Builders and Contractors Rocky Mountain Chapter.
This chapter of 180 firms representing 40,000 workers says Stapleton won their support because of his strong principles in favor of open competition, free enterprise, lower taxes and responsible government regulation.
From Colorado Politics:
“Stapleton gets business, he comes from the private sector but also has a proven pro-business track record as state treasurer,” said Doug Carlson, the ABC chapter’s president and CEO in a statement.
Stapleton, who is gathering signatures to petition his way onto the ballot, said that as governor, he “will continue to fight for policies that protect both employees and employers and will also ignite the engines of economic growth here in Colorado.”
We are building the coalition and putting together the resources necessary to defeat Jared Polis in November and I’m proud to have the Associated Builders and Contractors on our side as we continue to fight for the future of Colorado. #copolitics https://t.co/riyUbqZ0xi

Polis has his own personal millions, but only one endorsement, from a labor union.
In an unusual and desperate move after some teacher mafias backed Democrat Cary Kennedy, Polis created his own endorsement category of 800 random folks willing to publicly acknowledge they will vote for him.
