Democrats had better get their crystal balls tuned up because year after year Democrats introduce candidate after candidate to take on U.S. Rep. Mike Coffman and year after year he leaves them in the dust. This year will be no different, but Democrats are still pushing this boring narrative that a Democrat could take the Sixth Congressional District by storm.
In this edition, a Public Policy Polling poll found Democrat Jason Crow beating Coffman by five points in a head-to-head match up. Unfortunately for overly-optimistic Democrats, Crow isn’t the nominee yet. Which brings up a good point. Why are Democrats releasing this poll now? Are they trying to force Levi Tillemann (Dick) out of the race? Create an air of inevitability and, then, hope for the best? Or are Democrats trying to boost Crow’s numbers among party faithful? Pro tip: Perhaps the best way to boost his flagging numbers is to not shove him down the throats of voters like the establishment pick that he is?
We’d like to see the numbers of Crow in a head-to-head match-up against Tillemann (Dick). While this year may be a decent year for Democrats, we highly doubt it will be a good year for establishment Democrats. Paging Levi (although, his establishment pedigree is pretty pristine, too)!
It’s worth noting that the survey was conducted February 15 – 18, and it appears as though no cell phones were used. Who doesn’t use cells for surveys?
Either way, the infighting among Democrats is simply delicious.
