Potential Republican challengers to Gov. Polis are beginning to make themselves known to voters and we couldn’t be happier to get this primary party started.
Colorado Politics reports CU Regent Heidi Ganahl is preparing to run with an announcement expected next month.
Even though Ganahl is the lone Republican holding statewide office, she’s not often in the spotlight, though she’s starting to rectify that.
“How do we tap back into that rugged individualism, that spirit of the Wild West that our state was built on, to keep opportunity — the American dream — alive and well for our kids?
I think it’s pretty simple. We keep those mountaintops top of mind.” https://t.co/ze61sbJi1Z

We wrote about Ganahl last week and her reaction to the recent surge of inflation and the impact it’s going to have on the younger workforce.
Former Parker Mayor Greg Lopez is also planning to make another run at the party’s nomination.
Lopez finished third in the 2018 primary after winner Walker Stapleton and Victor Mitchell. Doug Robinson ran fourth.
Republicans have their work cut out for them.
PeakNation™ will recall Polis won the 2018 race by more than 268,000 votes.
