The teacher who moonlights as a political activist and authored the anti-capitalist screed adopted by the state’s largest educator’s union is taking advantage of his newfound fame to announce his candidacy for the State House.
Bryan Lindstrom announced Tuesday he is running for the House District 36 seat now held by fellow Democrat Mike Weissman of Aurora.
Bryan Lindstrom, the “anarcho-socialist” who sponsored @ColoradoEA‘s extremist anti-capitalism resolution, has announced he’s running for the Colorado State House in HD36.

For those of you living under a rock and unaware of the Colorado Education Association’s new anti-capitalist mission, delegates at their annual assembly in April adopted this resolution:
“The CEA believes that capitalism requires exploitation of children, public schools, land, labor, and/or resources and, therefore, the only way to fully address systemic racism (the school to prison pipeline), climate change, patriarchy (gender and LGBTQ disparities), education inequality, and income inequality is to dismantle capitalism and replace it with a new, equitable economic system.”
So that’s now the mission of your child’s educators — 39,000 of which belong to the teachers’ union.
It’s a tossup which is worse: Having this guy teaching kids socialism instead of reading comprehension and math, or a state representative with the power to actually dismantle our economic system and impose socialism upon us all.
