The Western Conservative Summit was held in Colorado at a convention center instead of an abandoned phone booth over the weekend, so the cowboy way of life hasn’t completely collapsed under the weight of the woke culture.
Attendees noted the region’s way of life is under attack by corporations and politicians who have embraced and emboldened this cultural hold over freedoms and liberates we all once took for granted.
But life in these western United States was summed up perfectly by the Congresswoman from Wyoming, Republican Harriet Hageman.
The coastal elites taking over our states see how the West is glamorized on “Yellowstone” and want that experience, until they find out westerners don’t think like them.
And that cannot be tolerated.
Colorado Politics reports from Hageman’s speech:
“The fact is, they despise your ranch, they hate your farm, they hate your sheep and your cattle, and they hate your coal and oil and gas. They despise these things because they represent strength, independence, self-sufficiency, community and family, and they despise you because you might oppose what they’re trying to do. It’s a war. It is a war on us and on the entire Western way of life. So we must fight back; we can’t ever give up.”
Hilariously, Colorado Politics reached out for comment to Colorado Democratic Party Chairman Shad Murib, whose wife owns a “working ranch” that’s available for weddings, fundraisers, and corporate retreats.
Murib pontificated about how real cattlemen are polite and treat people with respect, then went on to trash western conservatives.
By the way, Harriet Maxine Hageman was born on a ranch outside of Fort Laramie. She’s the one who just defeated Liz Cheney, a native of Madison Wisconsin.
And Murib, he’s a first-generation Coloradan from Littleton.
Enough said.
