Colorado U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet says the charges against fellow Democrat Sen. Menendez erodes the public trust in Congress and is demanding he should resign his seat immediately.
We were unaware there was any public trust left in Congress, but okay.
As with all Americans, Senator Menendez must be presumed innocent until proven guilty, and will face his day in court. The nature of these charges erodes public trust in Congress. No one is entitled to serve in the U.S. Senate, and he should step aside.

A cool half million in cash was found hidden in the New Jersey politician’s home, much of it literally stuffed in the senator’s suit pockets, along with gold bars the Justice Department claims are all bribes to enrich some buddies and to benefit the Government of Egypt.
Interestingly, all those payoffs Hunter Biden received from China and Ukraine have also eroded the public trust in President Biden.
If only Democrats and the media would pay as much attention to those bribes as the shiny gold bar objects now distracting everyone from the two-tiered system at the Justice Department.
We’ve reached out to @SenatorHick and haven’t heard back yet. #copolitics https://t.co/DSqj2nUctV
