Libertarians are joining forces with a Republican candidate in one of the most watched U.S. House elections this year to help defeat freshman Democrat Congresswoman Yadira Caraveo in the November election.
Eric Joss stepped down as the Libertarian candidate on Tuesday and threw his support to GOP nominee Gabe Evans.
It’s just crazy enough to work.
Colorado Public Radio reports:
The alliance could be significant in this race in particular. Caraveo won her seat two years ago by just 1632 votes, far fewer than the 9280 votes that went to the Libertarian candidate. The 8th District, which stretches from Denver’s northern suburbs up into Weld County, is Colorado’s newest congressional seat and the most politically balanced in the state.

Democrats immediately blasted the Libertarian endorsement, while the Colorado Secretary of State’s office maintains it won’t be official until Joss pulls his name off the ballot by Friday.
See what happens when like-minded folks on the right work together?
They freak out Democrats, because they can win.
