An undeniable pattern of bait and switch is unfolding in the Democrat Party in which the candidate who wins election by the voters is instead replaced by a select group of party insiders.
The practice seemed to really catch on among Colorado Democrats once Polis landed in the governor’s seat and their party took control of the state legislature.
Then the party took the scam nationwide this year by forcing President Biden out of the reelection race he won with 14 million votes and replacing him with a nominee who failed to win a single primary vote.
We all saw how that turned out.
One might think Democrats are finally beginning to realize that subverting the election process in such a manner is the very opposite of democracy.
But one apparently would be wrong.
Running for a 4-year term and then immediately resigning may seem odd for the most of the nation, but this hilariously happens in Colorado all the time!
At one point OVER ONE-THIRD of our Legislature was appointed through vacancy
WHAT an amazing system we have here! https://t.co/a5HOSuSNEn

Marshall Zelinger with 9News reports that state Sen. Chris Hansen of Denver who won reelection last week plans to resign this week and that party insiders on the anointing committee to replace him are plotting next moves.
Hansen texted Zelinger after the report to deny that he was resigning today.
And yet Colorado Politics also reports the news:
Sources have told Colorado Politics Hansen is planning to resign to take a job as CEO of the LaPlata Electric Association, a co-op based in Pagosa Springs.
Now blood is in the water and the sharks are circling as other vacancy committees also plot to meet in anticipation of state representatives within Senate District 31 wanting to resign their seat if they can replace Hansen.
It’s the perfect example of the incestuous, antidemocratic system that has infested how Democrats are now elected to the Colorado legislature.
There are presently 23 Democrats and six Republicans who were first appointed by vacancy committees serving in the state legislature. When the new session begins in January, that number becomes 19 Democrats and three Republicans — not counting the Hansen resignation.
Hansen was originally appointed to this Senate seat in 2020 by a vacancy committee, while Steven Woodrow was appointed to that House District 2 to replace Hansen.
Now the vacancy committee for Woodrow’s district is also planning to meet in anticipation of Woodrow jumping at the chance for a promotion.
PeakNation™ will recall that Woodrow is the lawmaker who posted this inflammatory post on X after the first assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
This habit of Democrats to abuse the vacancy committee process and treat it as their own personal career ladder should concern Democrats.
After all, Hansen was only in that Senate seat two years before he tried to trade it in for the Denver mayor’s office, and failed.
It just seems weird that Democrat voters would be so content with their representatives in government being more interested in advancing their own political careers than protecting democracy and serving the people.
