Denver Mayor Mike Johnston says he’s willing to go to jail to oppose Trump’s public safety deportations and incoming Border Czar Tom Homan says he’s willing to lock him up for breaking federal law.

“Me and the Denver mayor, we agree on one thing. He’s willing to go to jail, I’m willing to put him in jail,” Homan told Fox News.

PeakNation™ will recall we’ve been cautioning readers to pay attention to how closely the mayor parses his words when talking about the limited deportation efforts he will permit, in what’s starting to sound like civil unrest backed by the city’s police department.

It’s open rebellion against federal law, or as they called it in the Old South, Civil War.

Under Biden’s border busting policies since 2021, unlawful crossers caught by patrol agents were ordered to turn them loose into the country without background checks.

Trump wants to deport those migrants plus all of those already in jail from breaking the law.

Homan explained:

“President Trump has been clear, we want to concentrate on public safety threats and national security threats. I find it hard to believe that any governor would say they don’t want public safety threats removed from their neighborhoods,” he said.

Democrats including Johnston are pretending Trump is looking to deport grandmas who have been here for decades in a heartless effort to scare children and senior citizens.

Johnston insists only criminals convicted of violent crimes should be deported.

That means that under Johnston’s imagined law, the Venezuelan suspect now jailed for allegedly raping a 14-year old Jefferson County girl in August, would not have faced deportation in May when he was first arrested on non-violent charges related to forgery and counterfeiting.

Democrats should be ashamed of their scare tactics and stop playing politics with our national security.
