We now interrupt your normal broadcast for breaking news:
HOLY SNICKEYS BATMAN, not only will Gov. John Hickenlooper have what he thought was a slightly annoying reelection campaign to run this year, but he is now officially in a dogfight to save his political life. With many recent polls showing no Republican candidate closer to Hick than double digits, the breaking Rasmussen poll that shows Hickenlooper and GOP gubernatorial candidate Bob Beauprez tied at 44%-44% is shocking and surprising. Sure, a tightening of the race should be expected following the Republicans finally settling on one candidate. Yet, less than one week after the primary Beauprez has already caught Hickenlooper. This bodes very ill for Hick.
This must have Hickenlooper’s handlers deeply disturbed, as Hickenlooper shows he becomes quite unhinged when things aren’t going well for him. It equally must be devastating to a man who only wants people to love him. Even after four years of trying his gosh darn best, less than half of Colorado likes Hick enough to want him around for another four years. At this rate, we can expect to see Hickenlooper standing on a street corner with a cardboard sign that says, “Will lie to you for affection.”
Seriously, how does Hick respond to this? His whole political career has been that of a one-trick pony, where he pretends to be above the political fray; more benevolent deity than politician. Now that his record of the past four years has shown this to be a complete fraud, he’s got no cards left to play. The man who deigns campaigns and politics to be beneath his grand stature, can’t suddenly enter the bare-knuckle, dogfight for your political life world without exposing himself for what he truly is: a complete sham.
My term of (non)endearment is Hickiepooper however Chickencooper is good 🙂 Hopefully, his name will be Mud in November.
John was really good when he first ran for Mayor of Denver, no machine, no handlers, no party heavies at the National guiding him…he really acted human and listen to people. Now days he still listens but the "Party" especially those above him guide with a very heavy hand. As a good friend in the top group of his party on the Hill said in recent times "You have to Go With Their Agenda or" they run candidates against you in your own primaries to take you out…no matter who you are or where in the Party you are"…Wow…they now eat their own if they do not tow the line…I liked John before the handlers got him and I think it is why we see him having such a hard time with so many decisions now days with Party conflicts over personal choices. So I am definitely for Beauprez and Rapella…Back to Colorado for Colorado
You can only hope we have real change in Colorado. Chickencooper has proven to be a great downfall.
Well a bunch of gun laws is no way to make friends in a state with such a deep gun heritage.
This establishment Republican Party is going to be our downfall once again. McCain? Please? We need new blood, new ideas and I'm sorry Bob, you ain't it. This State is going down fast, and if we want to save it, we need to come up with solutions…just see below,…lets hope Hickenlooper keeps his "off the cuff" remarks. Since when do we depend on the Dems to fail for the Republicans to succeed? This is a sad state of affairs, makes me wish I studied political science in college….makes me wish I WENT to college. One thing I know, I have more common sense than most of the college grads out there, and this strategy is not going to work.
What a joke for a governor, what has he done but save the life of a convicted killer that the people of Colorado punished to death for the brutal murder of four people?. If he does not have the balls to carry out the verdict of his constituents, then he does not have the balls to run this state. (Besides his having an illegal alien working at his restaurant…whom killed a Denver cop). Oh yeah, let's keep this jerk in office because he's cute and owns a bar. Pretty much the same reason Obama was elected….but he doesn't own a bar. Can't you just love the ill informed democratic party???? Once they learn that the Dems just want to keep the Blacks on the plantation, and the Hispanics on the farm, they will see that their future has always been with the Republican Party. We want them to prosper not rely on big government…it will take time, but it will happen…
His "off the cuff" remarks continue to hurt him, so keep 'em coming Governor!
About friggin time ! Bye! .. ( one can only hope)
