This morning’s ballot returns show Republicans continuing to claw back the early lead that the Democrats grabbed out of the gate. The Democrat Party’s share of returned ballots continues to slip.
Yesterday’s results showed Democrats with 117,766 votes, which accounted for 41.1% of total ballots returned. Today their share of the total ballots returned has slipped to 40.0%, while Republicans saw an uptick in their portion of the returns, moving from 33.0% to 33.9%.
