Axiom Strategies (no, not the Colorado lobbyists) published a new Colorado presidential poll this week that shows Hillary Clinton with a narrow, two point lead over Donald Trump, 45% to 43%. The poll was conducted between October 20 through October 22 and had a margin of error of 2.46%. The results of the poll are below:
- Hillary Clinton: 45%
- Donald Trump: 43%
- Gary Johnson: 5%
- Someone else: 2%
- Undecided: 4%
Interestingly, Trump trails Clinton by a mere four points (42% to 46%) among women, despite the Clinton campaign’s attempt to gin up a faux war on women narrative.
Also, the survey did not even mention the Green Party Candidate Jill Stein’s name. The wording of the question was: “The candidates in the general election for president of the United States are the Republican Donald Trump, the Democrat Hillary Clinton, the Libertarian Gary Johnson or someone else. If the election were today, who would you vote for?”
