If U.S. Rep. Jared Polis wants to run a serious campaign for governor, a good start would be to make promises to Coloradans that are actually doable.
And it turns out his pledge to make us reliant on 100 percent renewable energy by 2040 is not serious, just a pie-in-sky promise to liberals to hold his leftist base in check.
From the Republican Governors Association:
But when confronted with an actual study ripping apart his claims by finding that his plan would cost an astronomical $45 billion, Polis tried to distance himself from his own campaign pledge, even admitting there are no “serious proposals” to achieve it.
How can Coloradans trust Jared Polis to stand up for them, when he can’t even stand behind his own campaign proposals? Colorado voters deserve better.
Polis gets credit for admitting it, but now it’s time to drop that empty promise from his campaign speeches.
