When your staff prewrites your canned reaction to the president’s state of union address, it looks like this:

Left to his own rhetorical devices, this is what Polis came up with: He stands with illegal immigrants, all the folks who have jobs (thanks to low unemployment touted by Trump in his speech) and “you.”
He may not actually recognize who you are, or do any real work for you, but he will stand, up, with you, to stand, and stuff.
I stand with #dreamers. I stand with workers. I stand with you. At tonight’s #SOTU, @POTUS reminded us that he only stands with #WallStreet #TrumpSellsOut

Meanwhile, this is what he really cared about while the president revealed the state of the union.
