Can we get a moment of silence for all the state House Democrats who are so deeply dismayed by COVID-19’s impact on public health what was supposed to be the last day of the session and the postponement of a grand tradition?
Today would’ve been #COLeg‘s Sine Die, the last legislative day the session– a day filled with celebration and traditions like the rubber band ball drop.
Instead, House Dems continue to work around the clock to get Colorado through this crisis & back to business.#COPolitics pic.twitter.com/1B7GWNMJ5e

Democrats have gone stark-raving tone-deaf if they think it’s clever to go all wistful over a rubber band ball drop when they should be dealing with a public health crisis.
But not to worry, the Democratic caucus assures us, they are all working ‘round the clock to get Colorado through the crisis … by modeling fashionable face masks.
Be like Rep. @EmilyForCO and get your #MasksOnCO!
Post a picture of you doing your part to slow the spread of #COVID19 by wearing a cloth mask and use the hashtag #MasksOnCO! #COLeg #COPolitics #DoingMyPartCO https://t.co/nkywCXm4w9

And they’re working hard by gardening in fashionable face masks to protect the roses from aphids and achoos, or something.
It’s spring! Time to get outside for some vitamin D. But let’s show others we care about THEIR safety by wearing our masks. Also, my flowers are blooming. #MasksOnCO #COLeg#COPolitics#DoingMyPartCO #Spring pic.twitter.com/D01WvbAipl

Most notably, Democrats are working hard to retreat and totally abandon their efforts to create a public health option.
This was a hard decision but we are confident it was the right one for this unique time. We’ll keep working to lower health care costs and increase access to care – in the age of #COVID19, that is more important than ever. #coleg #copolitics https://t.co/wH81VYSovF

By all means, Democrats, keep up your hard work.
