Dr. Yadira Caraveo, the congresswoman representing Colorado’s new 8th District, voted against the Veterans Affairs funding bill in the House that included nearly $156 billion to fund VA health care.
Why did the Democrat physician vote against veterans’ health care?
She hasn’t bothered to explain herself in any media reports on the bill’s passage last week, nor did she issue a statement on social media.
We couldn’t find any Colorado reports on the funding vote, but Caraveo’s Republican challenger noticed.
Last week, @YadiraCaraveo VOTED AGAINST a bill to fund health care for our veterans. Know this, when I’m elected to Congress, I’ll make sure we’re taking care of the men and women who were willing to give it all up for our country. #CO08

The veterans vote comes on the heels of news that Coloradans’ tax dollars in the amount of $73 million have been used to pay the health insurance of more than 10,000 people who immigrated to this country illegally.
The coverage is illegal under Obamacare, but never you mind. Polis administration officials insist the insurance protects against huge emergency room bills, which now will be paid for by (checks notes) Colorado taxpayers.
No wonder Gov Jared Polis(D) is trying to scam Coloradans out of their TABOR tax refunds.
Apparently he needs the tax money to give it to illegal immigrants and criminals.#copolitics #coleg https://t.co/DeeMHC9LXd— Mr T 2 (@GovtsTheProblem) August 1, 2023
