House Democrats on party line votes pushed through House Resolution 1001 earlier this week that could have derailed an agreement between conservative groups and Democrat leaders to lower property taxes via the legislature, rather than November ballot initiatives.

That separate primary tax relief agreement passed the House with more Republican than Democrat support and will be voted on in the Senate today.
