Democrats and their media counterparts are clamoring that the Venezuelan gang situation is not as bad as everyone thinks, so Trump should just shut up about it and stay away out Colorado.

They’re super sensitive about the whole Sanctuary City and State problems here that have cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars, and liken any criticism of Border Czar Kamala’s mass immigration policies as racism.

Never mind that every nationality including white people are running for our border in search of asylum jobs, handouts, drug smuggling or human trafficking opportunities along with the occasional terrorists.

The usual Democrat politicians who favor open borders without any sort of background check are plotting a press conference before Trump’s event here Friday that will be held at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center.

No word yet on where the Democrats plan to stage their dog and donkey show.

Kamala Harris is organizing the event to ensure the Denver media has the party’s approved talking points before covering Trump’s event.

Those planning to attend include the usual suspects: Gov. Jared Polis, U.S. Sen. John Hickenlooper and U.S. Reps. Jason Crow and Diana DeGette.

In the spirit of toning down the rhetoric considering two failed assassination attempts against the former president of the United States, these Democrats are sure to abandon any such responsibility to reassure the media that Trump is an existential threat to humankind and must be slandered.

CBS News Denver reports the Harris campaign issued the edict titled: “Ahead of Visit, Governor Polis, Congressman Crow to Slam Trump.”

The Harris campaign says Colorado’s governor and the other Democratic elected leaders will also speak about how, according to the campaign, Trump used his influence to “kill the toughest bipartisan deal to secure the border in decades.” They say the deal was endorsed by the Border Patrol Union.

As we’ve reported ad nauseum, only one Republican voted for the Senate bill the media has bizarrely branded as “bipartisan” which did not include any provision to secure the border, including the omission of border wall funding.

Plus the bill was loaded with absurd spending and open border policies Republicans will never support.

What the Harris campaign also failed to explain and the media doesn’t bother to check, is that the National Border Patrol Council is just one of several unions that represents the border bureaucracy.

Border patrol has 20,000 agents plus 60,000 other employees. So out of 80,000, that AFL-CIO union represents 18,000 agents and bureaucrats.

Then there’s the National Treasury Employees Union that represents over 15,000 border patrol officers, and the Federal Law Enforcement Officer Association that does not have bargaining rights, but also represents 35,000 law enforcement officers from different agencies including border patrol.

The support of one Democrat union is not exactly a ringing endorsement.

The Dems are right about one thing: Rampant crime across the state on a daily basis under the authoritarian rule of the Democrat state legislature far outweighs the arrests of Venezuelan gang members in just the past few months.

It’s okay for Coloradans to be worried about crime, not matter the DEI status of the offender.
