For Colorado voters, this election is about the ridiculous cost of groceries, escalating rents, and unless you’re a government worker, stagnant paychecks.

But the media doesn’t care about our deepest desire to return to reasonable costs of living.

They’re busy hyping headlines with accusations of the worst kind about the GOP because they want voters to forget that historically, Republicans are the party of a free market and thriving economy for everyone.

And in the 3rd Congressional District, some reporters still think the race is about Lauren Boebert.

As The Denver Post notes in the lede of their Sunday feature before ballots hit mailboxes this week:

Republican Jeff Hurd and Democrat Adam Frisch each entered the 3rd Congressional District race with a parallel goal: Unseat U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert.

Western Slope and southern Colorado voters don’t need a poll to tell them consumer prices, wages, energy costs, crime, unchecked mass immigration, wars overseas and even the weather is on their minds more often than the outgoing congresswoman.

The Post acknowledges the Beltway political prognostications have the 3rd District election safely in the hands of Republicans.

Yet still they write as if the Aspen Democrat could probably maybe somehow win on his “pro-normal” platform.

But there’s nothing normal about Democrats pouring $14 million into Frisch’s bank account to win this seat from Republicans.

This election may be about the economy for voters, but for Democrats, it’s about the cost they’re willing to spend in pursuit of power.

By comparison, the Republican Hurd has raised about $1.2 million.

That alone should reassure voters that Republicans handle money much more wisely than Democrats and are the party of choice when voting with one’s wallet.
