Dilemma: What to do about the Occupy Denver squatter camp?
DENVER (AP) — Gov. John Hickenlooper says he isn't sure what legal options the state has to deal with protesters who have camped out at the State Capitol protesting corporate greed.
Hickenlooper told KOA-AM radio on Tuesday that he is concerned about the illegal encampment on state property but didn't indicate that he was prepared to order the State Patrol to clear out the park.

Enforce the law
By Senator Greg Brophy
Can you imagine a regular law abiding citizen of Colorado getting away with illegal camping at Chatfield Res or Cherry Creek State Park? Maybe they could if they called it an Occupy the PAW (that's Parks and Wildlife for the uninformed).
When you have a failure of leadership bad things happen. The moment the first tent was allowed on the Capitol grounds we had the initial failure in leadership. Now, there are reports of upwards of 40 tents and there is no end in sight to the flaunting of the law.
Governor Hickenlooper was on 850 KOA's Mike Rosen Show where Mike asked him about removing the trespassers. The Governor said, "We told them to leave." But he clearly said that he wouldn't make them leave (read, enforce the law). He went on to say that the State doesn't have a jail, so he wouldn't know what to do with them. So presumably if they refused to leave he would have to work that out with the city and the District Attorney. Really?
So if CSP arrests a drunk driver, they have to let the drunk go because they don't have an arrangement with any local jurisdiction to hold the driver in jail while awaiting prosecution? I don't think so. As a matter of fact, I know, and you know, that isn't correct.
It is time to enforce the law, write some tickets and then remove the trespassers.
Lead. Now. Before it is too late and one of our Troopers gets hurt dealing with a smelly hippie who wants to make a name for himself.
This problem may not pass quietly like an interim election but build until it becomes something that forces a stand. Governor, are you going to enforce the law equally and fairly or subjectively?
Coloradans are waiting and watching.

You hate the U.S. Constitution. You only exploit the Constitution as a prop when it suits your narrow pro-bankster globalist agenda. In reality, you truly hate the freedoms the Constitution guarantees for all individual American citizens.
This has nothing to do with constitutional protections. It is the rule of law. The squatters have no permit and are camping on state property illegally.
They could protest until their heart’s content during the day, but squatting at night is clearly illegal.
Why should the trust fund temper-tantrum get special privileges?
You think politicians can pass laws that supersede the U.S. Constee-too-shun? You gaul-dang commie! You probly support race-mixin’ too I bet!
What kind of permit did the Sons of Liberty have when they dumped the tea into Boston Fucking Harbor? Patriots don’t need “permits” from the government to protest the gross denial of their Constitutional and natural rights as citizens. You’re a teabagger, so you’re supposed to care about shit like that, right? You hypocritical dickhead.
Did you forget your Mountain Hardware sleeping pad for your tent? You seem especially ornery today. Here’s a suggestion — break down your tent, go home, take a shower, chill out.
I think you must have failed 4th grade civics. Freedom of assembly doesn’t mean people can squat in a public park.
Did you ever think that by squatting in the park you are taking away other’s freedom to enjoy the park? That the squatting aspect of the protest makes all you socialist fools like incredibly selfish?
What the hell do you want from the protests, anyway, other than the opportunity for public self-expression? What will it take to make you fools go home?
The return of our Constitutionally guaranteed rights as citizens. People in the “tea party” movement used to claim they cared about that stuff. We figured it was all just an act at the time. Now we know for sure.
But it’s nice to see how scared you are of the Occupy movement. Thanks for confirming that.
Nighty-night.

And if you agree with him, then you are an un-American fucking fascist too. Asshole.
