HECKUVA JOB, EDDIE

Posted on July 28, 2012 by Dave Diepenbrock

“Perlmutter Supports Help for Main Street” That's what Ed Perlmutter's official government website says.

How's that working out for us?

The US Bureau of the Census has an official answer for us. They just released a census of small business numbers for 2010. Comparing that to 2007 – the first year Ed Perlmutter was the congressman for Adams and Jefferson Counties – we see this:

Adams County lost 18.9% of its small businesses, those employing under 100 workers.

Jeffco lost 11.7% of its small businesses.

That's 1,026 fewer small businesses operating in 2010 than back in 2007 … when Perlmutter began taking care of business.

'Nuf said.
