Either U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter has hired a new social media director who thinks they are too clever for words, or we just discovered a honey pot of wasteful spending.
Perlmutter was promoting a tuition and scholarship fair that will be held Saturday at the Westminster High School, misspelling the word “tuition” in his press release, we might add:
What: Tutition and Scholarship Fair – Interested in higher education? Want to learn about college affordability? Come to my 2015 tuition fair to learn about scholarships, resources from colleges, and Workshops on planning, applying and paying for college.
Then Perlmutter turned to his Twitter feed to promote some truly bizarre scholarships:
Did you know you can get a #scholarship for writing about the Zombie Apocalypse? Learn more at my #2015TuitionFair pic.twitter.com/M7ESkzLQdo

This begs the question: Did President Obama jump the gun when he insisted taxpayers pick up the tab for free tuition to community colleges?
