rafting flipNot only is Interior Secretary Sally Jewell snubbing Craig and traveling to Aspen this week, now she’s planning a rafting trip in Browns Canyon, according to Joshua Sharf at Watchdog.org.

She can’t be driven 157 miles to Craig by a government lackey to address her agency’s abject failure in the whole Colowyo mess, but she can make the 160 mile road trip for a rafting excursion that is a thinly disguised lobbying effort to get Congress to purchase even more private land for the vast federal holdings.

Sharf obtained a press release from the Wilderness Society bragging about Jewell’s rafting/lobbying extravaganza for the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF), and the insults just keep coming:

As the deadline for Congress to renew the (LWCF) looms, Jewell’s visit to Browns Canyon, along with the presence of Senator Bennet and Governor Hickenlooper at the park’s dedication ceremony, provides a clear endorsement of the positive role that public lands have in American life.

Those are her priorities. More money, more land, more power for her agency, propping up the Democrat Party and boosting Bennet’s reelection campaign.

Saving jobs and protecting the economy in Craig?

Not at all.

Honestly, we’re so disgusted we could just flip.
