Democratic State Sen. Morgan Carroll is way behind in raising campaign cash to unseat her opponent, Republican U.S. Rep. Mike Coffman.
According to her last filing, she’s got about $452,000 cash on hand, compared to Coffman who has $1.5 million.
The Democrat’s been bragging about all the cash she’s received from supporters, but in comparison, that ain’t much.
Carroll said she raised $277,577 from more than 2,000 individual donors in the fourth quarter of 2015, according to a January news release from her campaign in the race for Colorado’s 6th Congressional District seat.
That’s about $35,000 less than the district’s Republican incumbent, Rep. Mike Coffman, whose campaign said he raised more than $313,000 by the end of 2015.
When you’re $500k behind in COH, $277k ain’t flattering

Unless she’s learned how to operate her campaign on Monopoly play money, that grassroots support isn’t going to push her over the finish line come November.
