The American Bar Association has given Neil Gorsuch its highest rating possible, “well qualified,” to serve as a Supreme Court nominee.
This is especially important because it’s the most trusting rating for Democrats, as the bar association tends to tilt a little to the left.
U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet reacted to the news with absolute silence.
The review was based on hundreds of interviews with people who know Gorsuch’s work and qualifications. Teams of law professors and Supreme Court advocates reviewed the judge’s writings for clarity, quality, analytical prowess and knowledge of the law.
What more does Bennet want?
It’s unseemly for a U.S. senator from a nominee’s home state to behave this way. We can only guess that Bennet is completely ignoring the wishes of his own constituents and the legal community to instead follow orders from Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York, the Senate’s Democratic leader, and hold a grudge against nominee put forth by Trump.
Even if the nominee is a Coloradan.
