Democrats demanded that Colorado Judge Neil Gorsuch’s Supreme Court vote be delayed one week in committee Monday because they can’t make up their mind why they are going to block him when the final vote reaches the full Senate.

For months Democrats complained that no GOP nominee should fill the vacant seat, presumably during the entire four years of Trump’s presidency, because Obama didn’t get his nominee last year.

That argument held until the hearings began last week, now Democrats are complaining that no Trump nominee should move forward, because Russia.

For as long as Democrats are accusing the Trump camp of colluding with Russia — the former Communist empire that once colluded with Democrats — Democrats now say that Trump can’t fill the Supreme Court vacancy.

From Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, New York Democrat:

“You can bet, if the shoe were on the other foot and a Democratic president was under investigation by the FBI, the Republicans would be howling at the moon about filling a Supreme Court seat in such circumstances,” Schumer said on the floor.

It’s one thing for Democrats to act as obstructionist within the Congress, but to do so to the Supreme Court for four, even eight years, is unconscionable.
