Is U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet holding a hastily called town meeting in Boulder to announce his endorsement of Jared Polis for governor?

Or perhaps it’s to begin beating the drum in favor of Mike Pence’s ascension to the presidency to encourage the Democrats and mainstream media’s desperate hopes that they can run Trump out of town?

We’ve actually no idea what the rush and late notice is all about, and Bennet’s announcement less than 48 hours in advance of the event holds no clues.

The 2:30 p.m. town hall Friday at the UCAR Center Green Auditorium will be “to listen to Coloradans’ concerns and respond to questions,” says the press release.

It’s being held in the middle of the afternoon, which will make it tough for those 23 job-holders in Boulder to attend. Otherwise, Bennet should have a strong showing amongst his own.

Perhaps it’s all just his way of making up for not holding a town hall meeting at all in the state for three freaking years.
