Democrat Cary Kennedy has a plan for fixing health care if she’s elected governor — taxpayers will foot the bill.

Her Medicaid-for-all proposal works like this; We pay higher taxes to fund the system, so that way we might get a discount in our premium cost of maybe 20 percent.

With premiums already growing nearly 30 percent a year, it’s not much of a deal.

It’s a fool’s errand, and Republican gubernatorial candidate Noel Ginsburg called her out for it in the Denver Post.

“If, in fact, we could lower premiums by 20 percent, we would have done it already.”

Democratic U.S. Rep. Jared Polis, also running for governor, is still insisting on his plan of putting everyone on the government’s Medicare program, and having taxpayers foot the bill.

And, Democratic Lt. Gov. Donna Lynne wants universal health care like her buddy Hillary Clinton.

Democrats clearly have not learned their lesson from Obamacare, that a government-controlled health care system means fewer choices and rapidly rising insurance costs.

That free market system is looking better and better every year Obamacare is in play.
